Yanchao Badland Geopark

Mud volcanoes at the Wushanding Mud Volcano Nature Reserve in Kaohsiung. The mud volcano on the top of Wushan Mountain in Kaohsiung is one of the nature reserves designated by the Executive Yuan. The main characteristic is that the natural gas under the ground accompanies the mud along the crust fissures, forming a cone-shaped mud mound.

Located on the southeast side of Jinshan Elementary School, Jinshan Mountain, Jinshan Village, Yanchao Township, Kaohsiung County. Its steep, towering hilltops have residual limestone at the top and conglomerate at the bottom. It is washed and eroded by rain to form this unique cockscomb shape. This limestone occupies a small volume, but was once the target of miners.
